  2. In other words, the English address doesn't exist either.

Trouble is, two hundred miles north in Manchester there is a Richard Butler furniture maker - makes enormous sofas, and has the address and phone number. That address is exactly the sort of wee industrial estate (as it's called here) where you'd expect to find a sofa-maker, tho' my eyes are too crappy to make out the signs on streetview. I suspect the Richard Butler in Manchester might've had his name taken in vain, poor bugger.

  3. Hi Steve - Love your vids - they always make me smile & feel full of energy to go and make stuff!

This Teds Woodworking thing - if the English address you have for this "Richard Butler" is Northway, Bridgemary, Gosport, P013 0XF, IE - well, first "IE" is Ireland, not England.
Second, a look at Bridgemary shows that "Northway" is basically a little service area between the backyard garages of two small residential streets. (People's garages are built in a double row between the backyards.)

  7. Hi, I have followed your videos for a long time now, keep up the good work!
The thing is that im from a little place called Estonia and woodworking is quite a popular hobby in here. Just found it funny that you mentioned Estonia as a suspicious country:)

  9. If you've made your mind up to buy it, and your content is included in his "product", then you might have grounds for a lawsuit or to help get this terrible person shut down.

  10. Even if the 305 views thing was correct and only 10% of the viewers contributed, that would be about $2 each I think. Definitely affordable for all of us.

  18. Steve:
I have supported computers for a living for 15 years at a big ten U. Please don't give this China/Ukranian/whatever any money. You've already purest him, and are correct that it is just a bunch of unorganized plans ripped off the Internet. Please don't support the copyright, and moral, criminal.

  19. I would certainly be interested in chipping in for this Steve. If you can get 12 or so people to contribute it'll be chicken feed. I would like to get to the bottom of this scam as, at the very least, it has become so annoying that so many potentially interesting links point back to Ted's (hah!) site - it has wasted a lot of my time and will continue to do so because these "leaders" seem to have gone viral.

  24. Steve: I STRONGLY urge you to have you PC THOROUGHLY scanned for viruses and trojans - that "are you sure" pop-up is the reason - if you click ANY button in the box, they WILL install a LOT on your PC - at *best*, only the "x" in the upper right can be trusted, and I can show you how to fake *that* - just because a button is labeled "go back" doesn't mean that's what it does. This is STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE for click-hackers.
